My first thought for shopping at Farm Fresh this morning was to have a completely free trip. It’s been awhile since I have done one of those. You usually see my entire shopping for the week. I decided to go a slightly different route this week. You hear a lot about people saying they don’t use coupons because it’s all junk. I decided to purchase a range of items and my goal was to spend under $1. I have bottled water, bread, eggs, expensive Greek yogurt, and organic cereal.
This is all I need to purchase this week, by the way.
Ways to save:
– Sign up for free samples and coupons (I love Vocalpoint)
– Request coupons directly from the manufacture

I had to use ECB’s before they expired, so I ran up to CVS this morning. They were out of the BIC razors, so I had to improvise.
2 Right Guard Body Wash
1 Nivea Body Wash
1 Eucerin lotion
2 Colgate toothpaste
1 Charmin
– $21.99 ECB’s
Total Paid $1.62
Total Saved $40.35
Earned $13.54 ECB’s
I must have changed a setting on my camera, my pictures look orange.
How did you do?
Jody says
So when you pay with ECB, you can get more ECB? Does it have to be from a different type of item? Like if you gotECB from razors could you pay with ECB on more of the same item and receive more ECB?
Dana says
Yes, you could use ECB’s to pay for more of the same item, but you need to watch the limit. There will be a limit to the number you can do. Example, the Right Guard had a limit of 2, but the Bic had a limit of 1. If you go over the limit, you won’t get the ECB’s back.
SavnMomNchesapeake says
Dana please explain the ECBs…I’m still not sure how that works! Ugh!!!
Dana says
Sure! read this post then let me know what you need me to elaborate on

I totally forgot to use the in-ad Propel coupon along with the $1 coupon from the Pepsico insert! Oh well, $1 for a 6 pack isn’t bad!
Hillary says
Hi Dana,
You mentioned that you request coupons directly from the manufacturer. What do you say when you write to them? Just “Hi, I like your products, do you have any coupons?” I wouldn’t know how to phrase the message!
Dana says
Yes, I usually tell them I like their products and was wondering if they have coupons they could send me, so I could purchase more of the product. It depends on the product how I word the email. I try to keep it short but personal. Ex. This is my kids favorite cereal or I’m trying to add more organics to my families diet.

Wow 95c!!!
I did great, but I paid a lot more than that. Lots of sodas…need an intervention, lol. I returned to vegetarian so the Boca was a nice surprise. DH was worried I would feed him “horrible soy burgers,” so I found turkey bacon with dollar peelies for him. Also earned $4 cat for next time and 11c towards gas, yay!
Dana says
I know exactly how you feel! We finally gave up the soda, but it was hard. I love my DP!
Glad you were able to save on the Boca today. I’ve always wondered if it was good. We tend to eat turkey bacon too. The peelies were a great find!
