Another thing that I do to “earn” a little is use mypoints. You get points for every purchase (each point is worth about 3/4 of a cent. Doesn’t seem like much but it really adds up). All you do is click through mypoints before shopping online, and then they give you 1-10 points per dollar that you spend. You can still use coupon codes, and shop exactly the way you otherwise would. To me, it’s like getting something for nothing (As long as you don’t shop MORE because you are getting points for it). You do have to watch to make sure they give you the points (I put a note in my google calendar to check on the points a few weeks after the purchase).
I have been using it for years, and I’ve gotten several $100 Macy’s gift cards, which I used to get the things I registered for but didn’t get for my wedding. Now that I’ve been following your site, I think I will use it for $50 CVS gift cards. That way the cheap deals at CVS will be paid for by my online purchases!
If you click on my name to get to mypoints, I’ll get a small referral bonus, but if you don’t want to do that, you can directly to the site.
