It’s all about the berries at Whole Foods right now. Next to picking straight from the farm, Whole Foods definitely has some of the tastiest berries around! I should know, I’ve been to just about every local store trying to find the BEST strawberries.
Whole Foods challenged me to come up with healthy and easy berry recipes. This is a perfect challenge for me since I LOVE incorporating fresh berries into our Menu Plan during the summer.
I created a Berry Flag that will be perfect for your 4th of July celebration. I actually served this for my little man’s birthday party, so you could use this recipe or something similar for just about any occasion. All the kids devoured the fruit – kids will eat just about anything on a stick!
I also made a Berry Smoothie with kale that is perfect for hot summer days. Smoothies are full of nutrients and fill you up without a bunch of extra calories.

I recently tested a great product, Mombo, from the Comfort and Harmony line made by Bright starts. Mombo is a nursing pillow with many uses other than just for nursing. Although, it is fantastic for nursing too!
The Mombo is a multipurpose pillow which can be used as a positioning aid for breastfeeding mothers, a tummy time aid for the smallest of infants and a positioning aid for babies just learning to sit up on their own. It is for that reason, I think this pillow is a great investment when expecting a child. It’s multi-purpose and will extend beyond just nursing.
This nursing pillow is soft and comfortable but has a layer of foam that makes it more structured than other nursing pillows i have used in the past. In my opinion, it is more helpful when using it to nurse a newborn since you won’t have to constantly readjust the pillow. It holds its shape and position so well that I think it’s a great tool to have when learning how to nurse in different positions with your newborn.
When I received my Mombo, I promptly used it with my 16 month old nursling who just loved laying on it, and thought it was so comfortable that he continued to lay on it well after he was done nursing! I enjoyed the softness of the fabric on the Mombo pillow and the comfort of it forming to my body. I think this pillow is a high quality nursing pillow that doesnt seem to wear down easily and could probably last through multiple children.
Mombo also has a plentiful array of other products within the Comfort and Harmony line, such as cart covers, bouncers and swings. They are all available at reasonable prices and are sold at Toys R Us and some Babies R Us locations.
Overall, I loved the pillow! It was one of my favorites, and I would recommend it to any breastfeeding mother!
