Fun Forest was a fantastic playground in Chesapeake, VA.  I say was because as you can see from the photo, there is nothing fantastic about the playground now.  On April 1st, Fun Forest fell victim to arson!  Who would set fire to a playground?!  My kids loved to play here and it was disturbing, to say the least, when I read about the destruction in the newspaper. 

Stace over at The Coupon Queens of Hampton Roads posted how you can help rebuild Fun Forest.  Sears is offering $30K to the park that receives the most votes through May 5th.  You can vote once per day until the 5th. I posted about this earlier but wanted to remind everyone that Portsmouth Restaurant Week is running from April 18-24th.  Participating restaurants will feature fixed menus and specials this week only.  Portsmouth Restaurant Week benefits Edmarc Children’s Hospice, a Portsmouth nonprofit which helps families with terminally ill children.  See the participating restaurants HERE.

Register your child HERE and he/she will be eligible to bowl for FREE all summer long!  Kids get 2 FREE games each day!  You can also purchase a family pass for a one-time fee of $24.95.  The family pass allows up to 4 adults to bowl 2 games per day at no additional cost once the pass is purchased. Shoe rental not included and each location will have its own age restrictions for eligability.
