I need help getting my Kid Fun/Events page complete for the “Events by Month” section. We’re in April and I haven’t had a chance to update it for 2011! Sad, I know. I’ll pay someone $25 via paypal to update the page for me. I estimate it will take 3-4 hours to complete. I realize it isn’t a lot of money for the time, but if you’re free and looking for extra cash…
I’d like to stick to a similar format for the cities in Hampton Roads as is currently listed on the Kid Fun Page. I am open to ideas, however. A post will not need to be make on the site for links, only links to the city site where more information on the event can be found.
I would love for this to be complete by April 30th.
If you’re interested, please email me at [email protected]
Thanks!

Reader Renee emailed me about a magazine Fundraiser for her son’s local baseball team:
9U travel baseball team and we are doing a fundraising event to raise money for the upcoming tournament season. One of our fundraising events is through online magazine sales. The way it works is magazines are ordered through our team website at great discounts for subscribers and the magazine will then make a donation to our team. As I looked through the list of magazines available, I noticed that “All You” magazine is one of the publications offered. The price is $25 for 30 issues! That’s less than a $1 an issue.
The magazine orders must be placed through our fundraising website to get this great rate: www.efundraisingonline.com/Virginia_Crush_Baseball
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with this team nor will I receive compensation for purchases. I have not ordered a subscription. I am simply passing on information from a reader for a good price on a popular magazine.

Here is an email I received from Target. A similar email was sent to me from Walmart and Verizon. Most of you might already be aware of this, but I figured it was worth posting just in case.
To our valued guests,
Target’s email service provider, Epsilon, recently informed us that their data system was exposed to unauthorized entry. As a result, your email address may have been accessed by an unauthorized party. Epsilon took immediate action to close the vulnerability and notified law enforcement.
While no personally identifiable information, such as names and credit card information, was involved, we felt it was important to let you know that your email may have been compromised. Target would never ask for personal or financial information through email.
Consider these tips to help protect your personal information online:
Don’t provide sensitive information through email. Regular email is not a secure method to transmit personal information.
Don’t provide sensitive information outside of a secure website. Legitimate companies will not attempt to collect personal information outside a secure website. If you are concerned, contact the organization represented in the email.
Don’t open emails from senders you don’t know.

We sincerely regret that this incident occurred. Target takes information protection very seriously and will continue to work to ensure that all appropriate measures are taken to protect personal information. Please contact [email protected] should you have any additional questions.
