Below is a press release regarding the Pep Rally for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition being held tomorrow, January 20th
At Thursday’s Pep Rally at VB Convention Center
(January 19, 2011) Attendees at the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Pep Rally Thursday evening at 7pm at the Virginia Beach Convention Center will have a chance to help “Build the Build Fund” and win a tour of the rebuilt house at the same time.
Volunteers will be selling $10 raffle tickets at the event for the following prizes, with the drawing to take place at the end of the Pep Rally:
- A “Tour for Four” of the home after construction is completed
- Items autographed by Ty Pennington and the design team that is assigned to the Hampton Roads build. (Items to be delivered to the winners after the build ends in early February).
There will also be an opportunity to buy official Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Hampton Roads Build t-shirts for $20 each. Money from the sale of raffle tickets and t-shirts will go to the Build Fund, which pays for unanticipated expenses not covered by donations from local suppliers.
Admission is free to the Pep Rally, which will feature songs by 8-year-old Elizabeth Hughes and popular local composer and performer Lewis McGehee, who will debut “It’s Our Time,” a new anthem written expressively for the Hampton Roads project. Milan Vasic, senior producer for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and Duane Cotton, President of Trademark Construction, will also make presentations. Guests are encouraged to bring canned food for the Extreme Food Drive that officially kicks off at the Pep Rally.
Thanks, Mom on Dealz!
