This could not have worked out any better as Derrick’s Great-Grandparents and Mother are heading to the zoo with the kids today.   Yay for only needing to pay for the kiddos entrance!

The Virginia Zoo will offer FREE admission to seniors on Senior Wednesday beginning August 2nd!

To celebrate seniors and the contributions they make in our communities, the Virginia Zoo is proud to offer free admission every Wednesday from 10 am – 5 pm in August and September to seniors age 62 and older. Grab your grandkids, your kids and your friends and head to the Zoo.

Seniors need to only bring a valid ID as proof of age. Free admission applies only to individuals age 62 and over. Other visitors will be charged regular Zoo admission.
