With two kids in diapers, we go through them pretty quick. Our stockpile has really helped cut down on the enormous cost. When I started couponing, I was always trying to get a diaper stockpile started, but never was able to get ahead. It always seemed like there was a limit on the sales, or I didn’t have enough coupons to “stock up” properly (I get two newspapers delivered, and have one computer for printing).
Then I realized that I’d have to spend a little extra each month adding to the stockpile while at the same time keeping up with the daily demand. I bought store brand diapers AND hit up the sales, slowly building my stockpile.
Eventually, I stopped buying the store brand and just used my stockpile. Now, I think I’ve spent less than $20 this year on diapers 🙂
I’m not sure who loves our stockpile more – me, because
it saves us so much money, or the kids – they love to play in their “diaper pit”!
