It’s finally strawberry picking time and that leads to delicious spring and summer treats! This low calorie strawberry smoothie is a perfect way to enjoy all the strawberries you pick or that you can find in abundance at your local stores. When you combine a few simple ingredients with the strawberries, you get a powerful protein drink ask well! I’ve added chia seeds to this recipe, but those are optional or can be replaced with flax seed.
Low Calorie Strawberry Smoothie Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 Cups of Fresh or Frozen Strawberries-100 calories
3 Ounces Plain Low Fat Yogurt-40 calories
1 Cup Fresh Spinach-10 Calories
1 Teaspoon Chia Seeds (optional)-22 Calories
1.5 Cups Water
Directions:
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. If you use fresh strawberries you will need to add ice cubes to make the smoothie a bit more cold and icy.

Recipe yields 2 servings. Each low calorie strawberry smoothie only contains 86 calories and is full of protein!
