I have a question about cellfire, Upromise, and Catalina e-coupons. Can you combine these coupons with a physical coupon that you have? I wondered if I add a coupon to my Upromise (or cellfire, etc) account for $.50, and then I get a $1 coupon in RP or SS, can I use the physical coupon, since it’s a better deal? Or will the Upromise one void the real one? I want to take advantage of the e-coupons, but I am just a little confused.
Thanks again for all of your help!!
Hillary

Hi Hillary,
Upromise coupons are used for college savings only, so you won’t see money off for those coupons at the register. Yes, they can be combined with paper coupons.
Cellfire coupons are manufacture coupons and can’t be combined with a paper coupon. You would basically be using 2 manuf. coupons on 1 product. There is a bit of information about the new problems at Kroger with cellfire coupons in this post
https://www.thecouponchallenge.com/2011/04/coupon-policy-changes-direct-effect-from-extreme-couponing-show.html
Harris Teeter has e-VIC digital coupons that CAN be combined with paper manuf. coupons.

That makes sense about the Upromise coupons. So I guess for those, I may as well load all of the ones available, and then if I happen to get one of those items, it’ll go into my Upromise account. What worries me is what you wrote about the Cellfire coupons. What if you load a $.75 off coupon from Cellfire, and then you get a $1 coupon in the newspaper? You end up losing the difference! I don’t like that at all. Thank you for clearing that up!!
I only moved to this area 6 months ago, and when I first moved here I was told HT and FF were the most expensive and to stick with Kroger and Food Lion. I like organic dairy (and produce when I can afford it), so that attracted me to HT and FF even though they were “more expensive”, but really I think you can get much better deals there if you use the coupons and sales wisely! Especially on Wednesdays (at FF) or during super-doubles weeks. I can’t be bothered to go to Food Lion at all anymore! Just proves you have to try things out for yourself and not just go with the first recommendation.

I don’t shop at Kroger too often just because it’s not as close to me as other stores. I do think it’s a great store to save money, though. You could go to customer service to try and get the coupon removed if necessary, but it is a bit more of a hassle.
Harris Teeter and Farm Fresh can be expensive, but they offer great opportunities to save with double coupons. By taking advantage of double coupons and stockpiling, almost all of my grocery shopping is done at those 2 stores.
I don’t ever shop at Food Lion either.
