Creating quality time in a marriage or with a significant other is imperative to the strength of a relationship. But how to you stay on budget with everything else going on in your lives? Living on Love and Cents & Madame Deals have put together a great article for this weeks Dating on a Dime series:
The time has to come to admit that we often put the one we love most at the end of our million mile long list. We make being in a relationship a chore instead of a wonderful experience. I am trying to remind myself that I am not only a mom but a wife. It is important to nurture your loved one just like you do for your kids. I am taking a moment, a couple of bucks, and some time to plan for a cheap date to bring them together to create a memory that will last long after the date is over.
We belong to a gym. I actually joined the gym because my husband is a runner but his body doesn’t run like it used to. He needed to swim more and run less. I love yoga and childcare so the gym is a great place for us to go as a couple. It is also a great place for us to swim as family. The only problem is we never get to swim by ourselves. I thought why not? We can drop the kids off and go for a dip and a hot tub. Then we can get the kids and take them swimming. I realized my gym allows non-members to buy passes. I think it is a great way to have some fun without breaking the bank. I say dive in!
There are a lot of great local deal sites where you can find something new and exciting to do without breaking the bank.
