My friend who work at Dollar Tree said it is going to be crazy how they advise them to accept coupons. They have to scan the item then the coupon, then the next item then the next coupon. Each coupon must be swiped directly after the item. If you forget one and hand it to them at the end of the transaction, they have to void the transaction and start all over. Hopefully management was just a little mixed up and still trying to figure it out.
WOW! I hope they change that policy fast. I plan to give it a week or 2 while they get all the issues fixed.
I work in the DT Merchandise Dept & the previous statement is incorrect. DT does not have the software to “scan” coupons. They are hand keyed. U can give the cashier ur coupons once everything has been scanned, the cashier will simply key in the amount and hit a generic coupon key. We have been accepting coupons at our Deal$ stores since inception and will use the same concept at DT.
