It’s a busy week for grocery shopping!  If you follow allow me on Facebook, you know I got a late start this morning. My daughter decided to sleep in until 8:45am!  Late for her is usually 6:30, so she must have really needed to extra rest.

Harris Teeter was out of some of the freebies, so I got rainchecks.  I also used rainchecks at both Farm Fresh & Harris Teeter today.  Don’t forget those rainchecks!!!

Farm Fresh:

1 Smithfield Tenderloin = $3.49
2 Campbells Soup Skillet = FREE
1 Pepsi Next 2L (free product coupon) = FREE
3 Lays Chips = $2
4 Kens Dressing (used raincheck from last week) = FREE
1 Hormel Country Crock Sides = $0.49
8 Yoplait Yogurt = $2
2 Sargento Shredded Cheese = $4
4 Colgate Toothpaste = FREE

Total Paid: $13.59
Total Saved: $29.79

*My trip this week is a good indication of how you can save on a variety of items with coupons – not just junk.  I have yogurt, salad dressing, cheese, toothpaste and a meal with the pork and mashed potatoes all for just $13.59!

Harris Teeter:

1 Hefty Trash Bags = $2.97
4 Hefty Zip Bags = FREE

I use this website and a few others (not sure if Dana ok for me to list them) to compile my list. I don’t buy insert but have a relative gives me coupons for things I use. Most of my coupons are from internet/facebook (I have 6 laptops/desktops!) Tips: get rainchecks especially with Harris Teeter (never expires) plus you can combine raincheck with another deals later + coupon (I had a raincheck for hillshire sausage bogo. So I use it this week when it on sale for $3 each, bought 4 x$3 = 12 – $6(bogo) = 6 – 1.50×2(2coupons) = free. Another advantage w/ raincheck – don’t have to buy things right away especially when I don’t have storage space in my freezer compartment. I rather get raincheck most of the times. Print coupons asap since hot coupons will be gone before you have a chance to print them again. Trust me, happen to me so many times. Have an email and facebook for coupons and deals only (no personal stuff/friends on those accounts). CVS/rite aid often have free stuff with coupons (shampoo/body wash/toothpaste, ect). Start slowly and know when to pass a freebie (I have a hard time with this!) Good sale will come back, it’s ok to miss. Goodluck

thanks for posting your trips – I love that all of your trips are not .02 cents! It a lot more realistic and encouraging. I did one trip each to FF and HT, spent about 20 at each, but got a lot of yogurt (yopa!, chobani), pork chops, land of frost sub kit 4.99 at HT – $1 doubled great price, fruit, and sale items (yakisoba, lays, short cuts, chicken sausage (bought the ones that weren’t on b1g1!), artic shrimp, alexia, oreos). Even found the apple sauce on an end cap at HT. I surprised that FF didn’t do SD’s last weekend, but I”m glad to hear they might still be coming!

Campbell Soup to go is a money maker (kinda). I bought 2 Campbell soup to go on sale 2 for $5. Use 2 $1 off coupons = 2 for $1 and there is a Catalina for $1.50 off next shopping trip….so 50 cents MM!

My favorite HT deal this week was the clairol natural instincts hair dye. usually 8.99. On sale for 6.99. Buy two and use (2) $2 off 1 coupons from the 1/27 P&G that will be worth $8 total with the doubling. Then save the $5 off two online evic coupon. Comes out to $1 total or 50 cents a box.
