I’m almost embarrassed to post this trip.  I’ll still be under budget for the week even with buying puppy chow & organic milk, but my savings rate is only 45%!

LuLu HAD to have the apples.  The price is about twice what I like to pay, but who am I to deny her fruit?

Get your matchups here

Apples $3.99
Onions $1.99
Strawberries $1.88
1/2 Gal Milk $2.49 – $1/1 reduced peelie = $1.49
17 Powerades (in the bags) $10
4 Captain Crunch Cereal $3.52
4 Smuckers Toppings $1
1 Ore-Ida Sweet Potato Fries $1 (still on sale)
2 McCain fries (used printable) $2
1 Sargento Cheese $0.90

Total Paid $29.55
Total saved $23.10

Now tell me how much better your savings rate is 😉

Rebecca blew me away. I still feel good about my trip (thank you Dana).
I wanted the Kleenex paper towel thing but my store doesn’t carry it.

I bought ten items from the back page:
    3 lunchables
    1 popcorn
4 ronzoni pastas (only had 2 Qs)
    2 Chi chi salsas
Total due after coupons and 50c discount = $4.14

    Then I got
6 smuckers ice cream toppings for $3.13
    and
4 drumstick ice cream cone boxes
    18 ct eggs
    4 turkey hill drinks
    Totaling $13.11

That’s a great trip! You’re stocked up on ice cream toppings for the summer now 🙂 My kids were thrilled!

Oddly, some stores don’t seem to carry all the products.

I was so frustrated with my cashier this morning when I went.. My total cost was 14.00, which was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I did pick up a couple of items not on list/no coupon that I needed. The deal with the cashier.. I received an email from Farm Fresh with a 2.00/25.00 purchase coupon. I handed it to her and she acted like I was trying to rip them off. She questioned me about where I got it from. I told her and she called the manager over. The manager had never seen one either.. Thank goodness for the cashier working behind mine, she turned around and said that she had gotten one as well when she signed up for emails from FF. Of course everything was just fine then and they accepted it no problem lol They also would not let me use the $1/3 balance bar coupon because it only had 2 bar codes.. However, 2 lines over, my husband used his with no problem.. It all depends on which line you go through apparently LOL

It’s unfortunate that stores are acting that way. I know they are losing a lot of money on fraudulent coupons and it really does negatively affect the rest of us. I’m so glad the other cashier vouched for you, so you could use the FF coupon!

That is definitely frustrating Donna! Does anyone else sometimes almost get nervous about going to the store with your coupons? Like you just know SOMEthing isn’t going to go right? LOL, I feel this way sometimes. Especally Walgreens for some reason!

I used to feel that way about WAGS. Even though my coupons were always in order, there were always problems. Now I have a store that I shop at because I don’t have to worry about all the headaches and questions.
