My Farm Fresh & Walgreens Shopping Trips (02/02)

After all my Internet issues this morning (working great now!), I finally made it to Farm Fresh.  I was super excited to see “Try Me Free” on the Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Cereals.  I “made” $4 on those!

See my Farm Fresh matchups

Milk $3.63
Celery $0.99
Eggs $1.49
Miracle Whip $2.50 (needed it)
2 Pop Tarts $2
2 Kellogg’s Crunch Cereal $2.50 – $1/1 from 01/23 RP insert = $1 (TRY ME FREE ON BOX!)
1 Oreo cookies $0.49
1 Sabra Hummus $0.24
1 Yoplait Yogurt FREE (request coupon)
6 Campbell’s soups FREE
3 Activia FREE

Total paid $16.18
Total Saved $30.15
Like spending $12.18 after MIR

I took the kids with me on Monday to Walgreens.  BAD idea.  I forgot how difficult it is to take both kids coupon shopping.  I ended up spending more OOP than I should have.  If I had read my chicken scratch correctly, my 3rd transaction would have been only tax.  However, I did find $4 off peelies on the Blink Tears-$4 moneymaker!

See my Walgreens matchups

Transaction 1
Blink Tears
-$4/1 peelie
Paid $3.99
Saved $8.80
Earn $8 RR

Transacti0n 2
Advil Congestion
Thermacare
Arnicare
VA Pilot $2
4 Butterfinger Snackerz
– $2/1 Advil
– $3/1 thermacare
– $2/1 arnicare
– (2) $1/2 snackers
– $1.82 snackerz WAGS in-ad coupon
– $8 RR from transaction 1
Paid $3.67
Saved $28.62
Earned $11 RR

Transaction 3(not planned until I saw peelie)
Blink Tears
Russell Stover Heart Candy (filler)
– $4/1 peelie
– $0.30 candy WAGS in-ad coupon
Paid $4.29
Saved $9.10
Earned $8 RR
See my problem?  I thought I wrote I’d get a $4 RR in transaction 2, so I didn’t have a more expensive filler.  The kids were half out the door and a line was behind me, so I just paid OOP

Total Paid $11.95
Total Saved $46.52
Still have $19 RR

How did you do?

Did your hummus ring up correctly? Mine did not. Luckily I caught it before I left the parking lot and got the full price back.

Mine rang up right. I bought the classic. Would have been nice to get it free though 🙂

I got the spinach artichoke one and yep, rang up 4.49. I guess it depended but it had a sign on it. they were nice. I noticed the popcorn soda was not coming off. cashier tried to tell me it did but I pointed out it was only taking off for the box of popcorn, not the soda. again little longer at check out but worth it and man love that military ID discount thing! 😉 used it quite a bit today on other items. good score on the cereal, btw. I totally missed that one!

Must have been the variety. I wanted a 2nd, flavored hummus but I must have misfiled the coupon. A lot of times I’ll just say okay to the cashier then take my reciept up. I think the chasiers throught it was automatically taking it off.

You’re racking in the saving with the military discount. All those 10% off are adding up!

I read you comment and checked my receipt and the soda didn’t come off mine either.

as far as the soda & popcorn, there was a coupon that you had to “find” in the store for that particular offer…since it didn’t come off of my receipt, I went to the service desk & they told me it had been a problem b/c of the way it was in the paper, not to mention the fact that the coupons were not near the products ????

So there was actually a coupon? I know the ad said with coupon but there wasn’t one in the ad or store and the managers didn’t even know about it. I guess an email was sent out to the stores this am letting them know there was a problem. Maybe the milk aisle was a good place for a popcorn coupon 😉

Thanks for pointing out the soda, I guess I have to go back and get that fixed.

Lol, I always make mistakes at Walgreens when son is in tow. One keeps my hands full and stops my ability to do any kind of math, so I think you did pretty good to have two little ones along with you!

But after seeing posts on here about deca allowing the RR…I went this morning and asked management at our commissary. They said YES! So I spent all of mine on produce and meat. Nothing to roll next week…but that is okay.

Stacey saved the day for everyone’s free soda.

My daughter at the store “mommy look at the pillow pets, their so soft, mommy… Same time is my son “mom can we eat the Butterfinger’s? so and so had them at school and…” My brain needs quiet 🙂

Glad they’re still accepting the RR at the Commissary! I need to find out about the matchups. My Military Mommy had to stop doing them until DECA people determined if it was okay. Legal issues I guess. I’ve seen other bloggers have them, but I’d rather not chance making the Federal gov’t mad at me 🙂

Ha, are you getting coupon happy over there 🙂 It should be all of them. Below is my old post about it. I should repost this since it’s from June.

Just curious which Walgreens you shop at? The one I went to didn’t have the $4 peelie and I couldn’t find the arnicare :/

      Hi,

I shop at the Hanbury WAGS in Chesapeake. Not all the bottles had the peelie on them. I was there Monday morning. The arnicare was on an end aisle. There was a bunch when I went.

      Hope that helps

Thanks! That’s the one I went to! Darn maybe I just missed the ones with the peelie and the anicare. I even asked an employee about the anicare and he didn’t know what I was talking about lol. Oh well, I still got some pretty good deals 🙂

Maybe they pulled the ones with the peelies off the shelf? Funny the employee didn’t know where the anicare was, though. Glad you were able to pick up other good deals!
