I’ve been all over the place shopping this week. It was fun to hit up more than 1 or 2 stores again. I didn’t make it to Rite Aid yet. I’m hoping if I hold off until Saturday they may restock some of the freebies.
My Farm Fresh trip is depressing! I spent a TON of money PLUS didn’t get my $10 Catalina for the promo. The only reason I bought the Chef Boyardee was the promo. Can’t take them back because my kids will think I’m the best mommy ever.
I also purchased 2 Culinary Circle pizzas for a total of $10. Rather expensive but they’re tasty and I thought I was getting $10 back. Mad, mad, mad. Anyways…

How did you do this week?
Julie says
I am willing to bet that the cat for the con-agra deal only include certain flavors of certain items. I looked at your picture close and am wondering if the diced tomatoes with green peppers did you in. I too bought the honey roasted PB so I know it wasn’t that. It is just a guess, but you never know. I was able to get 3 regular (sad face) diced tomatoes, 10 ravioli, 4 pb, 1 package mini bagels (dd love these), 2 cans of soup, 1 yakisoba, 2 healthy choice meals, 1 dannon dessert yogurt, 1 beechnut baby food that I had a coupon for (ds was not impressed) and 1 lb of creta farms turkey breast for 22.54 and my cat printed. I can’t explain it.
Dana says
Err! I think you’r right. Thanks for checking my items! Glad you were able to get the deal. Poor baby said what are you feeding me mommy.
Julie says
Yeah, poor boy HATED the baby food thing. Thankfully I only paid .49 after coupon.
Julie says
Just so you don’t think I am crazy I looked over your items because we bought the same things aside from the ketchup and rotel. The rotel and ketchup were clearly part of the deal though, that is why I looked. I am not a crazy picture stalker.
Dana says
Crazy picture stalker! JK! I appreciate you taking the time to look. My kids prefered Gerber and when I mushed up bananas or sweet potatoes. I miss that age!
Julie says
I was just thinking this morning when I was cleaning out my wallet. Did you get any coupons out of the cat machine when you got your groceries. I bought the dessert activia too and got a coupon for 1/1 from the machine. I also bought some soup you didn’t buy and got a cat coupon for that too. Maybe your machine was broken. Not that you could go back and ask them to re-ring everything, but it may have been the machine.
Dana says
You are so sweet! thank you for thinking of me 🙂
I got the Activia Dessert coupon too from the machine. Good thought, though. Gotta be the 1 type of hunts

I did okay at Farm Fresh today, but had to have them take four boxes of fruit snacks and four boxes of cereal off of my order because for some reason the coupons didn’t print the number below the barcode, from the Betty Crocker website & coupons.com!!!? I was so embarrassed, the cashier acted like I was a thief.. The manager tried to make it right, until he saw that the coupons didn’t have numbers.. Should I contact Coupons.com? Or the Veri-fi company, or something? I’ve never had this happen before.
Dana says
Since it happened on both sites, I’d have to say check your printer. Can you print from sites such as smartsource? I haven’t experienced that unless my printer was malfunctioning for one reason or another.
I’ve also heard about this if you don’t have the latest version of Java. Check to see if you’ve missed updates
Stacey says
Why didn’t your cat print, girl?! oh man…dislike trips like that! I didn’t have enough coupons to even try to do it so hence only my irish springs, toothpaste, canned tomatoes, prego sauce and bleach trip today.
Dana says
Still lots of good stuff! On a good note, I now have 17 cans of Rotel and 2 more coupons. My mommy just got a goodie bag from my stockpile 🙂
Beth says
The fine print on the $10 CAT is you have to spend $25 AFTER coupons are deducted!!!! I was excited when I saw that they were doing that deal too but after I read that I was like darn it!!!!! I was disappionted with Farm Fresh this week and spent way more then I wanted too!!!!
Dana says
The CAT promos have said after coupons for several months but I havn’t evperienced problem with the CAT not printing based on my before coupon price, except for today. I looks like 1 variety of tomatoes I purchased may have caused the CAT to not print. The problem is they won’t manually print it for you if use used coupons.
Sorry you overspent too! I feel your pain!
Shari says
Can I ask a question? Is this all the groceries you bought for the week? What about staples like milk, bread, butter, sugar, etc.? I understand you probably have been couponing long enough to be in the cycle of stocking up, but what about those things that you cannot really stock up?
I got free toothpaste and toothbrushes with some $1 P&G coupons from a booklet I got in the mail, but still paid $100 for everything else I needed. I just don’t get the “small” grocery trips that don’t seem to show all a family would need.
Dana says
I’m happy to answer any question Shari. Yes, this is all I bought this week. You don’t see every picture of my shopping but you get the general idea. I added in the HT trip this week to show ALL the shopping I did.
I have been couponing a long time, so I base my menus of what I have in my stockpile & fill in based on what’s on sale each week. In all honesty, I’ve slacked in my shopping lately especially with the drugstores, so I’m having to buy more of what my family needs instead of only what is at a “rock bottom” price.
I bought bread, organic milk (for the kids) and coffee creamer at HT. When I buy creamer I try to grab enough for a couple weeks & its store brand. I have enough carrots now for a couple weeks. In the winter we eat more frozen veggies then fresh because of the prices & I stock up. I usually buy 2 gal of milk at a time. I bought jelly at (gulp) full price today because I was out.
I have 4 or 5 tubs of butter in the fridge from previous sales. My meat has dwindled but at 1 point I had 15+ packs of just chicken in the freezer from B1G2 sales. I’ll freeze bread if I find a great price. I freeze yogurt. I usually don’t buy premade loaves of bread for dinner. I make my own in the bread machine.
If you want to comment or email me about what you bought this week, we can chat about ideas

It’s so frustrating when trips don’t go the way they were planned!
I asked the cashier to split it up so I could just do that promo in the first one and use the cat for my second one. $26 oop, savings of 37% on the first one. $8, savings of 84% on the second. The first one kinda kills the savings I did on the second. Seemed like a much more brilliant plan in my mind than it actually played out to be…
Still a lot of good food and got some free makeup, so I’m happy.
Dana says
You still saved a lot. Those 1st transactions always mess up the total. Things rarely work out like I’ve planned in my head 🙂
Great score on the free makeup! I forgot to check the prices of those
