I’ve put together the insert variation document for the coupons I received. Please note that there are still insert variations even within the Hampton Roads area. My format is based on the Sunday Coupon Preview.
The Virginian Pilot 02/12/12 Insert Variation

I only received one insert this week (SS) and ended up getting the RP in the mail @ my in-laws… I bought my paper from Dollar Tree – do you happen to know if they get the full set of inserts, or just the ones that may be incomplete? I had the cashier looking at me like I was crazy as I rifled through 4 papers bc I *knew* there was supposed to be more than one!
If you get the Virginian Pilot the RP comes in the mail usually on Tuesday or Wednesday, so it won’t be in the paper. The RP is included in the Daily Press, Virginia Gazette and Washington Post
I subscribe to the Virginian Pilot and I never receive a Red Plum in the Sunday paper. The RP is mailed to my house, but it doesn’t have any coupons, just ads for services and pizza. When I go to another zip code in my city (VB) to purchase a Pilot, they include the RP. I tried subscribing to RP on their website, but I still get the usual service ad. Any advice?
Unfortunately there are a few places that don’t get the RP insert at all. It doesn’t come in any of the Virginian Pilot papers.
My suggestions would be to ask family and friends for their RP inserts, pick up the Washington Post at a store such as FF on Sunday morning (if you can find it in stock) or if your ever on the Peninsula you can by the Press or Gazette.
The RP site doesn’t seem to help anyone.

I haven’t received a coupon insert of any kind for the last two weeks (2/12 and 2/19). Previously, I had no issues. Do you know who I should contact at the Virginia Pilot to rectify this issue? Will they provide the coupons missed?

You won’t have an insert for 02/19 since there was only an RP and that comes in the mail. You should have received an SS in the 02/12 though. I would call them so there is a record that you had a problem, but they won’t have inserts left from the 02/12. You MAY be able to get a credit for the paper but it has been over a week.
I would at least call so it’s on record in case you don’t get the coupons again next week. If you don’t get the coupons, call immediately so they can send you a new paper.
