The Woes of Motherhood

This has absolutely nothing to do with saving money, but a lot of my readers are moms (or dads).  It’s gross, but part of being a parent.  I had my first experience with a child getting sick in public last night!  We went to get Mexican food for dinner.  After eating Monkeyboy looked over at me and said his belly hurt.  Just as I’m asking if he was going to be sick, he was.  Eventually Derrick was able to get him out the door, while I took care of the “damage.”  All this in the midst of a very crowded restaurant.

He’s been fine ever since!

Hoping I’m not alone here…

Gosh you are not alone! In fact, we just had an episode with DS last week. 🙂 It was not the first time, and I am sure with 6 kids, it will not be the last. I am sure that most people never noticed and in fact, crowds mean noise which also means that most people probably had no clue!

You’re poor little one! Sorry you had to go through that recently too! Hoping not too many people noticed. What a way to ruin someones dinner 🙂

I had an embarrassing thing happen to me today! We went to a photo studio (packed with other families getting their Christmas pictures done too) and Hayden not only got sick everywhere she also had a blow out diaper. I think she has a stomach bug or something because she did it more at home. I feel so bad for her but at the time I had no clue why it was happening! I just have to keep reminding myself while I have puke in my hair that this happens! Kids get sick! Glad your monkeyboy is feeling better now though!

Oh, little Hayden! I’ve heard there is a bug going around. All of the sudden they just get sick, seem to be better then get sick again. Since most of the people where parents in the studio, I’m sure they understood. Puke in the hair is the worst!
      Hope she’s doing better!

Well I’m hoping that was it and she is getting better but thanks for the heads up that she might get sick again after seemingly feeling better! Puke is the worst! Especially since I continued to smell it all day long (even after showering!). I was going around the house spraying Lysol in hopes that I would stop smelling it! UGh! I changed out the Scentsy in her room and then I stopped smelling it! How are you doing on your bars by the way? Would you like any more before I leave the area? We move next week! I can’t believe how fast it happened!

It wont be the last time this happens if you kiddos end up being like my son. He gets car sick often, and he has a sensitive stomach like his daddy. I think his car seat has been washed more times in his life time (hes only 4) than the car itself!

It happens with kids, and its a yucky mess to clean up so we now carry an old formula container in the car for him in case he gets sick lol

Keeping a container in the car is a great idea!
